When you prepare to work in a residential care facility for the elderly, there are several requirements that must be met if you are going to earn your certification for administration. In addition to taking formal training, as well as meeting age and education requirements, those wishing to maintain their licensing must complete 40 hours in continuing education coursework every two years.
